I have been searching for ways to display the mess of earrings, brooches, necklaces and bracelets that I own... I don't have a lot of space and so I've been looking for ideas that are space saving and pretty. This is such a pretty and practical way of displaying earrings. I need to visit a few vintage shops to buy an ornate frame.

And I love this idea too with the pretty hooks and the frames and the small mirror! Its like a little jewellery shop on your wall.

Now I just need to find the time to do this DIY jewellery storage...
How do you store your jewels?

I love the frame idea - it would be a pretty piece of 'art' and it needs to stay tidy!
ReplyDeleteHere is another cool one from pinterest which I will eventually make:

I use two unattractive, but practical, clear plastic earring stands from PillowTalk. They each hold 15 pairs of studs and 15 pairs of dangly earrings.
ReplyDeleteI recently started reordering my shoe collection into those clear plastic boxes from Howards. To be honest, I don't love them. For example, I always knew that my patent Mary-Janes were in a wide yellow shoe box, so they were easy to locate in my collection, but now they're one of many pairs of black shoes in a clear box, so they're harder to locate :(
ReplyDeleteI use vintage bowls for bracelets & earrings and for necklaces (which i have dozens of) I use a tie rack and hooks p;aced throughout the wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteThese ideas are gorgeous but I would mess them up pretty quick i think.
kb - love that jewellery holder on makeit-loveit!
ReplyDeleteLaura - I like those plastic jewellery holder whatsies but I don't think I have enough space on my dresser for them. Maybe you could tie a coloured ribbon to your mary-janes box to identify them more easily?
Aneets - awesome idea re: tie racks in your wardrobe. I think if I had a big wardrobe I'd do the same. I unfortunately have only half of a two door built in... well, if I'm being honest, maybe two thirds of it... poor Mr B has been pushed into one third of the built in!
C, what about all your clothes in the spare room cupboard?? And, sadly, the Mary-Janes were just an example, I have the same problem with all my shoes!! :(
ReplyDeleteL, my spare room cupboard is now clear! The clothes there are either packed up with the winter stuff or in a bag on the way to Salvos :) Two words. Hardcore Declutter.
